Program costs
Tuition vs. total program cost
Tuition is the cost of instruction. Total program cost is tuition plus books, your tool kit option, and any other required program fees. The $50 application fee and $200 enrollment agreement fee are separate required fees.

- How much does the Professional Farrier Program cost?
- See the program cost cards above for current tuition and total program cost.
- What is included in tuition?
- Tuition covers instruction — classroom farrier science plus daily hands-on trimming, forging, and shoeing under our instructors, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Books and your tool kit are listed separately.
- How much are books?
- Books are included in tuition for the current programs.
- How much is the tool kit?
- Tool rental is included in tuition for the current programs.
- Do you offer payment plans?
- Yes — for the Professional, Advanced, and Professional + Advanced programs. The Practical Farrier Program is pay in full only.
- How much is the down payment?
- Payment plans require a 30% down payment. The remaining balance is financed at 12% annual interest, compounded monthly.
- How long can I take to pay?
- Payment plans are offered in 6, 12, or 18 month terms. Installments are due on the 1st of each month, beginning the month after your class start date.
- When is payment due?
- Pay-in-full tuition is due by the first day of class. On a payment plan, the down payment is due by the first day of class and installments are due on the 1st of each month. A $50 late fee applies to payments not received by the 15th.
- Can I pay in full?
- Yes. Pay in full is available for every program and never accrues interest.
- Can I pay before my class starts?
- Yes. You may pay any time before the first day of class.
- Can I pay by credit card?
- Yes. Card payments are accepted online through your student portal. Eligible credit card transactions carry a credit card processing surcharge of up to 3%; debit, prepaid, and bank payments are not surcharged.
- Can I pay by check or cash?
- Yes. Cash and check payments are accepted at the office and are recorded on your student account with no surcharge.
